Social Subscribe2
The 3rd-party Subscribe2 plugin allows registered and unregistered users to be notified via email whenever a new post is published.
It allows users to subscribe to either full posts or excerpts of posts, to choose whether the format of full posts should be HTML or plain-text, and to select which categories they are interested in.
Subscribe2 was enhanced to work with Social Access Control so that users receive emails only for posts or categories of posts that they are permitted to view. Also, the administrator can choose additional email content levels depending on whether the post is public or restricted: full post, excerpt, title only, no email.

Use the power of AJAX with Wordpress to improve the user experience, the administration capabilities and the design potential of any Wordpress based blog.
AJAXed Wordpress
AWP’s basic features include inline paginated posts, inline comments, threaded comments, the ability to submit comments with AJAX, pagination of your homepage, live comment preview and much more, but it does not, however, force you to use any feature, and it also allows all aspects of the plugin to be easily customized through a single Administration panel. It also has special features that will ensure compatibility with many other plugins.

Do you want to test drive any theme or perform some backend actions on your active wordpress installation?
Here are few plugins that can help:
Maintenance Mode
Adds a splash page to your blog that lets visitors know your blog is down for maintenance. Logged in administrators get full access to the blog including the front-end.
Visitors will see a message like “Maintenance Mode – SITE is currently undergoing scheduled maintenance. Please try back in 60 minutes. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

Theme Test Drive
Theme Test Drive Wordpress plugin allows you to safely test drive any theme on your blog as administrator, while visitors still use the default one.
It happens completely transparent and they will not even notice you run a different theme for yourself.
Best part is you can even set the testing theme options (if it has them) in the Admin panel while you are testing the theme.
